PMC COVID-19 Data Dashboard


December 29, 2025 - Report


The U.S. is in the middle of a 12th COVID wave. The most recent reliable data are through December 20 and show moderate relative levels, but CDC, Biobot, and PMC forecasts indicate rising transmission through at least December 27, perhaps longer. This discrepancy between known and forecasted levels suggests that many people will get "surprise" SARS-CoV-2 infections over the next several weeks. If transmission is like last year, it may remain near-peak for several weeks.

Note. CDC and Biobot are experiencing holiday-related reporting delays, so we will as well.
