Welcome to the den of Polytropos

Hi! I’m glad you’ve found this corner of the Internet. I’m Polytropos (or Poly, or P), a Classics undergrad who wanted an excuse to practice writing. If you are interested in art, media analysis, literature, mythology, or history then you’re in the right place!

Polytropos (πολυτροπος) is an ancient Greek word meaning ‘much-turning’ or ‘multifaceted’. It is one of Odysseus’ many epithets.

Everything I write at the moment seems to find it’s way back to the ancient world, no matter the starting point. My favourite ancient text is the Odyssey, and my favourite piece of ancient art is the François Vase.
