Installation
Getting started with PrettyLinks is quick and easy. After you purchase and install the PrettyLinks WordPress plugin, simply run through our 5-step Setup Wizard to:
- Activate your PrettyLinks license
- Enable the features you want
- Create your first pretty link
- Organize it into a category
- Finalize your setup

- Activate your PrettyLinks license
You’ll receive your PrettyLinks license key by email shortly after checkout. You can also find it anytime by logging into your dashboard at prettylinks.com/account/.
Start by logging in to your WordPress Dashboard. If you already have an older version of PrettyLinks installed, go ahead and deactivate and delete it first.
Next, download the latest version of PrettyLinks from your account page. In WordPress, head to Plugins > Add New > Upload, choose the .zip file you just downloaded, and upload it.
Once installed, click Activate.

It depends on the license you choose. PrettyLinks offers 3 different plans:
- Beginner – Licensed for 1 WordPress site
- Marketer – Licensed for up to 2 WordPress sites
- Super Affiliate – Licensed for up to 5 WordPress sites
If you want PrettyLinks running on more than one WordPress site, just pick the license that best fits your setup.

Yes, as long as you can export your links (either via an .htaccess file, an export script, or the database), you can use the PrettyLinks’ Importer to easily import your links. Read more about importing and exporting your links in our User Manual.
