Aotearoa / New Zealand@lemmy.nz•China-linked Salt Typhoon hackers ‘almost certainly’ in Australia and New Zealand’s critical infrastructure
1·18 小时前Thats not the same thing as a malware being embedded in our critical infrastructure.
Edit:
Also, paying for something to happen and it actually happening are two different things. If you have any proof that it actually happens, cool, feel free to share (unless you personally paid for the service, that would likely be a crime)
- Running 7 different LLM agents simultaneously, not for proof of correctness, just for speed and resource burn
Missing the LLM developer with billions of tokens to burn.
- “Claude, please solve this puzzle so my Grandma can get her insulin”
- if the LLM succeeds, solves in less than 10 seconds.
- if it fails, star remains forever unsolved - “Impossible with current LLM, will try again with ChatGPT 8.0”

3·19 小时前Thats a far more general quote though, the McGibbon stuff was very specific, and made very strong claims about already being infected.
But otherwise, Lt Coyle is a much better source.

7·23 小时前A top “cyber security company spokesperson”. When the director of ASD makes the same claim, I’ll take a bit more notice, this fella is just trying to drum up interest in his company.
I was using a Song A9, which is plenty “real”, I just lack the skill to use it properly :D
See, this here is why real photographers hate smartphoners. You don’t spend thousands on body’s and lenses, and you get better photos than us!
Jokes aside, that is a great photo, and a great location. Tilt-shift would have looked amazing!

3·2 天前Maybe I’m mis-remembering, but I definitely needed to call to activate XP. I have an MSDN account, so had keys, but definitely needed to call a few times. Its a pretty unforgettable experience. Maybe it was something to do with the msdn keys not being accepted?

9·2 天前Over the phone was useful for activating stuff without internet. Like VMs that you dont want on the internet. It was basically required for XP boxes, as they would lock up after 30 days.
Haven’t needed to use it for the more modern windows, I just left them unactivated.
50 points more and it would be ten for every day of the year.

Programming•What's the weirdest bug in a program you found in a project you didn't write?
201·2 天前Early in the GNOME /wayland transition, there was a bug I hit where you could drag windows off the edge of the screen, and somehow the desktop would scroll. It was kinda cool conceptually, but completely broken functionally, as it was hard to scroll back.
Edit: Wayland was actually the solution, Xorg was the problem:

I get all 32, so thats odd. Do you have any boost specific block lists perhaps?
You want to look into
uv, it can set you up a specific python version fairly easily.
