I’ve been working with Bevy and egui, and have found it pretty nice. At the very least that might help get you started in your research.

As they say, the last 20% of a project takes 80% of the time. Thats where all the boring stuff lives or the stuff that you’ve put off over and over again.
Get through it and you’ll be able to get back to the stuff you enjoy again.
Not a bad idea really. Though if there is a problem I can’t solve within the hour, I tend to dwell on it and work through it in my head until I can get back to it. Thought just going cold turkey (so to speak) for the holidays might be better this time around.
I think this year will be a lot less code at work, and more documentation etc for sure. So that might actually help keep me motivated with my own projects to keep on that coding mindset.
Instead people installed BonziBuddy, which did all the stealing and stalking.
Basically every decision from Mozilla regarding Firefox in the last 5 years or so.
I recently switched from a 3070ti to a 9070xt on CachyOS. I just followed their guide and it was flawless: https://wiki.cachyos.org/features/chwd/gpu_migration/

About the same for me, but I saw one about 3 weeks ago. I was so excited because it had been so long, no one else seemed to care as much.

3·15 days agoNot sure about this, but some apps do cause additional battery drain if something fails to work. For example, an app is pinging a hostname to determine if its online, if it succeeds it waits 5 minutes before doing it again, if it fails, it tries again in 30 seconds. A pretty rough example, but this is just to say that its entirely possible.

3·16 days agoI was so disappointed with Dune: Awakening. I should have listened to my gut, because I knew it wasn’t going to bring anything new (enough) to the survival formula. I bought when it first came out, I’ve only played it for like 3 hours total.
I understand. The 3070ti is still a good card - I personally think you might be disappointed getting an equivalent AMD card because its no guarantee to solve your problems or improve performance.
Again this is all my personal opinion etc, weigh up your pros and cons. Prices can vary a lot in different regions. You might be able to snatch up a bargain.
Yea, I was pretty disappointed with it as I really wanted to move to AMD. I’m glad it’s going well this time around though.
No, it wasn’t a driver clash. I tried a lot of things including downloading the pro drivers that were also recommended on trying. At the time, there was a problem with AMD cards and CryEngine games performing badly.

Using them together. Bevy is your “backend” and egui runs inside it and is used as your interface. Bevy, being a game engine bevy will be more than capable of doing the stuff you need.
I’m using the bevy_egui crate.
