That’s so utterly bizarre that I don’t know how to deal with it, especially the implication that South America then never was colonized by white people.

7·11 days agoIf I were a shareholder, I’d be pushing my fellow shareholders to replace the inept.
How would you ever do that? Salesforce’s major shareholders are primarily large institutional investors, plus the founder and CEO himself. I can’t imagine how you’d be able to push them to do anything at all, even if you were a major shareholder yourself.

3·2 months agoWhile some of the things that Cloudflare do are only possible through their massive scale, they also do a lot of things that are perfectly fine to do successfully also on a smaller scale.
For one example of one such thing, see:

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How does Minitool Partition Wizard or similar software able to wipe the drive its installed on.
5·2 months agoMy questions is because im not deleting the disk im actually wiping the disk, where is it storing the code for the wipe disk operation to run from?
Without knowing anything about any of the software you’re asking about, I can still say that RAM would be a very good guess, anything that was read from disk would normally store itself in RAM before modifying the disk it was read from.

I used the internet for decades before any of the services you list existed. These days I use a few of them, but if they disappeared tomorrow I’d just go back to how things used to be.
