Linux needs an apple-like manufacturer (but in a good sense): good, marketable products with good support.
If we’re always relying for big current OEMs to offer linux option, they’re gonna hide it and never offer 1:1 support compared to windows.
I’m for some reason hoping for valve+some oem working together to offer a valid option to the current choices.

I have had grid gpus. I’d love to have a few accelerators.

No. Ddr4 ram prices have been tripling this year.
I needed ddr4 ecc, but couldnt justify paying 3x the price that I paid last year.
Also wanted to buy ddr4 sodimm for my wife’s laptop, you guessed it, 3x the price.
Dunno how pale moon is doing nowadays, but forks either follow the bigger principles of the base project or wither into obscureness if the base project changes underlying technologies.
I have that virtualized, times three. Two to have a failover, and third one with different settings for my kids (cloudflare’s family dns)

Good.
Let moscow be rubble.
When at work: accomplished projects, staying in schedule. Having a good team and laughs during the day.
In general: I’d love to do nothing sometimes. I work multiple jobs and sit in multiple boards and have always been working almost around the clock. Never had a two week holiday after the university.
But walking the dogs, waking up after 10 and brewing a good cup of coffee. Its never been the money, as long as we cover the bare necessities.
Watching my kids grow every day more responsible and thoughtful. Being at home (I travel for work at least a week a month). Waking up in a good hotel somewhere exotic and just having a full day to myself.
A lot of things. And good memes. Sadly the internet’s memegame’s been weak since the covid, I feel.

Did he wear a helmet?

Is that a stated fact that somewhere that the US can remotely disable the f35s?
While I understand that f35 needs constant maintenance, tooling and spareparts, which are bought from the orange man, is the remotely disabling part assessed somewhere? Because I find it unlikely that partners would buy f35s if so

Yeah been scrambling to get this one patched.

Tough luck. People are so selfish. The country they live in, people and culture should be worth protecting against, even with force.
Russia and US have destabilized europe and europe needs this in every member state.
Oh, I did serve my compulsory military service myself.

Not a quality take

U and I are right next to eachother…
But I’m wishing the same, good enough riscv for everyday usage. Browsing and such.

Venezuela is a developing country, has the world’s largest known oil reserves, and has been one of the world’s leading exporters of oil.
Well that explains it

I guess you dont have kids?
I make “six figures” and pay everything in my family. Mortgage, childs clothes, electricity, heating, groceries, everything is so friggin expensive compared to the simple times of 00’s when I lived off with $500/a month in uni, and had great time. The pay for my vacancy was even better in 2010. So my predecessors were making more 15 years ago and every fucking thing cost less. Society is fucked.
But I’m not going around shouting this off rooftops. Because I got the highest compensation when considering my uni friends, and I make do. My kids get new clothes every so often, we have money for food and one vacation yearly. Things are okay, but thats me. For many, things are beyod fucked, and I feel sorry for them.

Well, depends, are you an electrician? Legally, I’m not allowed to rewire my live 230v circuits (like changing switches) even though I own my house but I’m allowed to change bulbs.

And ddr4 production has been phased down so that drives the older (but still perfectly usable) ram prices sky high
Well, I served in a special unit 20 years back and I can guarantee you that uncle sam will not put down money in one’s training if there’s a risk down the line that an expensive trained asset cannot be utilized for the median length of a career. They have so many perfect applicants to choose from, they’re not picking anyone with a spot in their papers
I’ve done this at some point. Didnt look up the source, but this might affect other ms sw as well, namely older office. If activated lets say within 90 days twice for a certain cd key, you were easier to call the number to get the windows activated (legally).
Yeah I use linux myself so dont give a fuck all, but I’ve offered support for small companies which can be affected.
