🚀 Question for the Lovable team Elena Verna Anton Osika ______________________________________________________ I’ve really enjoyed using Lovable to learn and experiment with vibe coding projects. It’s been one of the most refreshing ways to tinker, build and get the first surreal feeling of shipping your imagination without coding. That’s why the changes since yesterday caught my attention: 1/ The 5 free daily credits (previously replenished daily) are now gone. 2/ Once a project is synced to GitHub, the instance on Lovable disappears rather than co-existing. From a product lens, these updates raise a few concerns: -> Removing daily credits could narrow the top of funnel: reducing trial, experimentation, and new-user adoption. -> Vanishing synced projects may lower retention and engagement as users lose a reason to keep coming back to the Lovable platform. Both changes together risk creating a perception of forced monetization, which can erode goodwill among early adopters who are usually the strongest evangelists. There’s also a community effect: when learning tools become less accessible, word-of-mouth growth slows down. And finally, activation loops (free → hooked → paid) might get broken if exploration feels gated too soon. ⁉️ My question to the Lovable creators and growth team: Are these updates intentional and what’s the strategic thinking behind them? It looks like a hasty move on the surface, but I’d love to hear the rationale because getting this balance right is critical for long-term adoption and growth. Elena Verna - your take?

Two weeks offline and my LinkedIn SSI dropped from 44 to 32. This got me thinking about what we've created here. The IT job market is back to pre-COVID competition levels. Hundreds of applicants for each position. Senior developers with 10+ years experience competing for mid-level roles. And somehow, in addition to actual technical skills, we now need to maintain our "Social Selling Index" to stay discoverable. So here we are, spending our evenings crafting posts about our daily workflows, sharing "insights" about project management, and engaging with content we'd never read outside of professional networking. All to feed an algorithm that decides whether recruiters will find us. The irony is thick. LinkedIn has become filled with AI-generated motivational content and posts that sound like they were written by someone who's never actually worked in the field they're discussing. Yet we keep participating because the alternative is professional invisibility. I'm not against sharing genuine professional experiences or learning from others. But there's something surreal about feeling obligated to perform your expertise on social media just to maintain employability. We've essentially created a system where career security partially depends on content creation skills that have nothing to do with our actual jobs. A brilliant backend engineer who prefers to focus on code rather than LinkedIn posts is now at a disadvantage in the job market. Maybe I'm overthinking this. Maybe it's just the new reality and we adapt. But it's worth acknowledging what we've normalized: treating our professional relationships and career prospects like an influencer marketing game. Back to posting regularly, I guess. The algorithm must be fed. What do you think - is this just how professional networking works now, or have we gone too far down this rabbit hole? P.S: Of course this post is written with a helping hand of an LLM. But the core thoughts and writing style are mine, taught to LLM from my earlier writings. This is how things are now, I guess.

Native development had a strong year — not because it resisted change, but because it absorbed it. As AI systems shift toward agentic architectures, native apps are becoming the most reliable interface for complex, real-time interactions.
