Set the default font in TextEdit on Mac

You can change the default font for your new documents.

Open TextEdit for me

In the TextEdit app on your Mac, choose TextEdit > Settings, then select New Document.
Click the Change button next to “Plain text font” or “Rich text font” below Font.
Select a font in the Fonts window.
