Alyson Krueger here, a freelance journalist in New York City.
I wrote my first article for the New York Times in 2013. I had just secured my master’s degree in journalism from NYU, and an editor in the wedding section took a chance on me and commissioned a story about brides and grooms taking their friends and family members with them on their honeymoon.
Since then I’ve written thousands of articles not just for the New York Times but Air Mail, Town and Country, New York Magazine, New York Post, and other publications.
Roger Federer gave me one of his first post-retirement interviews in 2023. At the inaugural Formula One race in Las Vegas I was the only journalist allowed inside Ben Affleck’s star-studded poker tournament (At the inaugural F1 Miami I party hopped with Diplo.)
I’ve reported from Trump’s second inauguration, from the Paris Olympics, Cannes Film Festival, the Super Bowl, and UN week.
I’ve identified and broken the news on trends from caviar bumps to women traveling abroad to freeze their eggs to people consulting ChatGPT before having tricky conversations. I uncovered a school for first ladies, a prince without a throne, and a networking event in DC that takes place in a sauna in the nude.
Wherever I go, whatever I do I have fascinating conversations with those I meet along the way. And trust me - these talks are only getting better as we dissect today’s crazy, hectic world.
I am now sharing those conversations with the hope they bring you the same joy, insights, laughs, and inspiration they have brought me.
