Why subscribe?
Wichita Story magazine is dedicated to telling the stories of the people of Wichita through pieces of feature journalism, thoughtful columns, photojournalism, short fiction, humor, poetry, and short video documentaries. We recognize that the number of journalists in Wichita has been shrinking for quite some time. Thus, we aim to “fill the gap” by telling those untold stories that are important to our community. Our goal is quality journalism and impactful storytelling.

Jeff Boone - Publisher
A Kansas native, Jeff has lived most of his life in the Wichita area. After graduating from Wichita Collegiate School, he attended Trinity University in San Antonio, where he received his undergraduate degree in English. After living in Austin for a time, Jeff moved back to Wichita temporarily to help his father with their family business, then called Wichita Insulation. Eighteen years later, he runs the same business, now known as NorthStar Comfort Services, where Jeff is the third generation working to help create more efficient, comfortable, and durable homes and businesses. During the fall, he can be found coaching football at his high school alma mater or doing the occasional commentary work for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference’s football broadcasts.
