Bulk Spotify transcription is the practice of converting many podcast episodes from Spotify into searchable, exportable text in a single batch — instead of transcribing each episode one at a time. For podcasters auditing their own back-catalog, researchers mining a show for citations, journalists tracking what hosts say across episodes, or agencies repurposing client content, bulk transcription turns weeks of manual work into a one-click intake.
Under the hood, most Spotify podcasts aren't actually exclusive to Spotify — they're RSS-distributed shows that Spotify is one player among many for. Our bulk pipeline reads the publicly available audio source for each episode and runs it through OpenAI's Whisper. That gives you full transcripts of any RSS-distributed show, with timestamps, speaker turns when detectable, and 100+ language support out of the box. Spotify-exclusive paid content (encrypted at the source) isn't supported — there's nothing to decode without authentication.
If you've been podcasting for years, you have hundreds of hours of your own voice sitting un-searchable in Spotify. Bulk-transcribe the entire archive, then search for the exact moment you discussed a particular guest, topic, or theme. Ground future episodes in what you've actually said.
"Did host X actually say Y on episode Z?" — answering that question by listening through episodes is hours of work. Bulk transcription gives you a searchable corpus you can grep across.
Academic research into podcasting as a medium — discourse analysis, communication studies, sociology of audio — requires a representative transcribed corpus. Bulk Spotify is often the fastest path to one.
Your top competitors in any niche probably have a podcast. Bulk-transcribing their last 50 episodes gives you a complete picture of their messaging, talking points, and recurring topics — not just what their show notes summarize.
If you're teaching media, communications, business, or any field where current discourse matters, bulk transcription lets you assign specific quotes from real podcasts as required reading.
Show notes are time-consuming at scale. Bulk-transcribe a back-catalog, then use AI summarization on each transcript to generate show notes in bulk.
If you produce or host a podcast that needs to be made accessible, bulk transcription + SRT export covers a backlog of episodes in a single sitting.
Drop up to 50 Spotify episode URLs into the textarea, one per line. We accept the standard open.spotify.com/episode/... format. Show URLs aren't supported as a list — paste individual episode URLs from the show's episode list.
Pro users: batch starts immediately. Free users: batch parked as Awaiting Payment in Bulk Jobs. Upgrade → automatic release of the whole batch.
Each episode shows live status. Whisper runs at roughly 5–10% of real-time — a one-hour podcast takes about 3–6 minutes. Long-form episodes (2+ hours) finish within an hour.
TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT. Pro users can batch-export the whole job as a ZIP archive.
Failed episodes don't block the rest of the batch.
Yes for any RSS-distributed show (the vast majority). No for Spotify-exclusive paid shows — those are DRM-protected and can't be transcribed without authentication.
Whisper is the highest-accuracy commodity speech-to-text model. For a clean podcast with good audio, expect 95%+ word accuracy. Heavy accents, music backgrounds, or low-quality audio can drop that to 85-90%.
Whisper auto-detects 100+ languages out of the box. Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin podcasts all transcribe natively.
Not yet — paste individual episode URLs. A "transcribe entire show" feature is planned.
We download the audio for transcription, then the transcript becomes the source of truth in your file manager. Raw audio isn't retained long-term.
Yes — retry from your file manager. Useful when failures were transient (network glitch, temporary Spotify-side unavailability).
Scroll up, paste your Spotify URLs, hit Start Processing. Your first batch will show you the whole flow in under two minutes.
