Welcome to Where the Paths Meet.
Photos my own unless acknowledged otherwise. This is overlooking Loweswater in the Lake District, Cumbria.
The main subject is Christianity, seeking to be faithful to the Bible. The revelation of God and the redemptive history of mankind is at the heart of the message. The person of Jesus Christ “God manifest in flesh” and all that He accomplished for the glory of God and the eternal blessing of all who trust Him as Saviour is key. Properly understanding the message of salvation is important for each one of us. One distinctive of the Bible is its prophetic nature - between a quarter and a third of the content was prophetic at the time of writing. These will be the core themes.
However, the Bible covers almost every aspect of history and life in this world, so we will branch out into the context of the Bible amidst some of the current developments around the world. This will cement the importance of the prophetic nature of the Bible, and provide a solid foundation for interpreting the many concerning developments. I have an interest in the “big” corporate sectors such as Pharma, food and agriculture, as well as many other trends which seem to be global in scope and particularly targeting the Judeo/Christian heritage of the west.
For lighter relief I hope also to share photos and accounts of nature and places I love to visit, of music I enjoy, and other interests and activities.
I enjoy reading the work of others and hope that sharing here will be of interest to others.
Above all, I hope this meeting place can be where we interact on our own journeys and that the Christ-centric focus will be a blessing.
It is no coincidence that the cross is the symbol of Christianity. It stands at the cross roads of history and has been the focus of life transformation for millions of individuals.
Does not wisdom cry out,
And understanding lift up her voice?
She takes her stand on the top of the high hill,
Beside the way, where the paths meet.
Proverbs 8:1,2
