I am having a great time at Rutgers. Classes and the campus are diverse and inclusive, and always seeking ways in which they can improve. The local area is filled with spots to eat and relax. The area is pretty calm but like anywhere else it’s not always a hundred percent perfect. My professors have been great so far and I have received a lot of support from all the ones I have had. I would like to see it become more commuter friendly, especially when it comes to dinning spaces. Commuters don’t stop eating and needing microwaves at certain hours.

It’s been a really good experience overall. The courses are not overly complicated, but they still challenge you in a way that helps you actually learn and understand the material instead of just memorizing it. Most of the professors explain concepts clearly and are willing to help if you put in the effort and ask questions. I also like how the environment feels focused but not overwhelming, which makes it easier to stay consistent with studying and assignments.

Another thing I appreciate is the diversity on campus and the different perspectives you get from other students. It makes discussions more interesting and helps you grow both academically and personally. The location is also convenient, especially for commuting students, which is a big plus.

If there’s anything I would want to see improved, it would probably be more resources and support systems for students who are trying to balance school with work or other responsibilities.

My experience at Rutgers University–Newark has been enriching and transformative. I appreciate the diversity of the student body and the welcoming environment, which allowed me to learn from different perspectives and build meaningful connections. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, offering guidance both inside and outside the classroom. I particularly enjoyed the opportunities for research, hands-on projects, and community engagement, which helped me apply what I learned in practical ways. One area for improvement could be expanding campus resources and extracurricular activities to provide more support for students’ mental health and professional development. Overall, Rutgers–Newark has been an inspiring place for personal and academic growth, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a supportive and dynamic university experience.
