IL & FS Casting Yard Progress Update

The batching plant and quality lab have had their outer structures completed, while interior works are ongoing and equipment is on site. Concrete production is underway to support temporary works. The gantry track foundation and one beam have started along with a boundary wall, while offices, stores and casting beds are still under construction. Comments on the casting bed design were received but not yet addressed.

IL & FS casting yard

Date: 05/04/2016
1. Batching plant
Erection for the plants M1 and CP30 completed.
Calibration also completed.
Producing concrete only for temporary works.
Stacking of raw materials under progress
2. Clients office

Outer structure is under progress with roof completed.


Sand filling for flooring under progress.

3. Quality lab

Outer structure completed.


Interior works are under progress.
Equipments for the lab are at site.

4. Gantry track

Gantry track bottom PCC under progress with rebaring simultaneously.


One gantry beam is brought to casting yard.

5. Boundary wall for casting yard

Work for the boundary wall is under progress with 500m completed.

6. Store

Outer structure work under progress with roof completed.

7. Contractors office

Outer structure work under progress.

8. Casting bed

GEC has commented on the last drawings but still IL & FS have not
complied it and no physical work yet started for casting bed.
