Syllabus

This document outlines the course content for ECE 303 Surveying-I. The course is divided into 4 units that cover important surveying concepts like plane and geodetic surveying principles, measurement methods and their accuracies, methods for determining elevations, contouring, setting out circular curves, traversing, triangulation systems, and plane table surveying. Measurement methods include tape, compass, theodolite, electronic distance measurement, and total stations. Key concepts are also horizontal and vertical curves, traversing computations, triangulation field work, and resection by three point problem. References for further reading are provided.
