ABSTRACT Technology is synonymous to progress, from the simplest gadgets to our means of accomplishing important activities; it helps us by making life easier. For us students, especially in our subject matter, it broadens our knowledge by learning new methods of analysis such as the MultiSim. This computer application enables us to simplify the process of designing with the integration of a digital simulation that gives important data. The process started with a problem given. It was taken from Fundamentals of Electric Circuits by Alexander and Sadiku, 4th Edition. After that, the schematic diagram of the circuit was provided using the integral electronic components using MultiSim. The solution asked for the value of the currents entering lines 4, 5 and 6, therefore, this was specified in the AC Analysis section of the application. Lastly, simulation has begun and a graph of the three variables was provided.
INTRODUCTION The problem is problem 12.52 of the book. In it, we are asked to simulate the circuit given using MultiSim. We are also asked to provide for the values of the three line impedances, namely: R4, R5 and R6. Important terms are listed below. 1. MultiSim - the schematic capture and simulation program designed for schematic entry, simulation, and feeding to downstage steps, such as PCB layout. It also includes mixed analog/digital simulation capability, and microcontroller co-simulation. 2. Simulation a verb; to imitate or reproduce the appearance, character, or conditions of. 3. Schematic Capture - Schematic capture is the first stage in developing your circuit. This is where you choose the components you want to use, place them on the circuit window in the desired position and orientation, wire them together, and otherwise prepare your design. You can modify component properties, orient your circuit on a grid, add text and a title block, and etc.
