Synopsis of the project


The Store Management System has been developed for shopping malls which will computerize the functions of the Store which are presently manually done. The need was to develop a computerized system which could allow quick & efficient data storage & automatic calculations. SALIENT FEATURES It keeps the record of the customer & the item details. If an item is sold then its quantity in stock will decrease equivalent to the quantity sold. If an order is received then quantity of the item in stock will increase equivalent to the amount received. Sale can be on Cash or Credit. Deduction on list of payroll processing. Auto indent for items when stock is below order point.

SCOPE
The proposed system is more reliable & responsive system. It overcomes most of the difficulties in conventional file processing system. Easy retrieval & manipulation of data. Provides easy user interface.

ADVANTAGES
User presence is not needed when process is going on. The system minimizes paper work & saves time. Provides problem free service to the user. No risk of accessing the system by any unauthorized person. Stocks of different items in the store can be viewed easily.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT


To maintain all details about items. To provide statements of stock on hand. To print bills for items sold. Easy manipulation of data. To make the system user friendly. To save user as well as staffs time & effort.
