Course Committee (CC)
Constitution
Purpose
The purpose of the Course Committee is to oversee the delivery and
development of a specific course or course(s) offered by the Faculty, ensuring
compliance with College and Faculty policies and initiatives in respect of
quality assurance, learning and teaching, assessment and diversity.
Reporting
Course Committees are sub committees of and report to the Faculty
Committee.
Terms of Reference
1 To consider and recommend to Faculty Committee all proposals for
minor modifications to the course(s);
2 To agree an annual course monitoring report and to ensure that all
course level issues are being dealt with appropriately and all other
issues are reported to the Faculty Committee and the appropriate
College officer(s);
3 To consider the report(s) of the external examiner(s) identifying those
issues to be dealt with at the course level and all other issues are
reported to the Faculty Committee and the appropriate College
officer;
4 To consider and collate student feedback identifying those issues to
be dealt with at the course level and all other issues are reported to
the Faculty Committee and the appropriate College officer;
5 To consider all reports of external reviews and to ensure that the
course level issues are being dealt with appropriately and that all
other issues are referred to Faculty Committee and the appropriate
officers of the College;
6 To advise the Course Leader on the development of the curriculum
and academic planning;
7 To advise the Course Leader on the implementation of the College
learning and teaching strategy on the course;
8 To take an overview of the implementation of College quality
assurance policies, procedures and regulations on the course.

Quorum Rules
Quorum is at least 4 members to include the Chair, Head of Faculty and at
least one other member of the course staff. If less than 5 members are
present then any actions agreed shall be subject to the ratification of a
quorate meeting.
