ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

It is often said that life is a mixture of achievements, failures, experiences,


exposures and efforts to make ones dream come true. I would like to convey
my sincere gratitude to Mr. SATADAL MAL (HOD,HITK) for allowing training
at CESC and Mr. DEBANJAN BASAK(STATION MANAGER) of CESC TITAGARH
for accepting me as a trainee and providing a broad overview of the plant
operation at TGS.I acquire this opportunity with much pleasure to
acknowledge the invaluable assistance of CESC LIMITED and all the people
who have helped me through the course of my journey in successful
completion of this training.
I would also like to thank to Mr. HIRAK DAS ( HRD), Mr. Jaydev
Ganguly(Training Guide), Mr. PRADIP KR. BISWAS(Control Dept.), Mr.

CONCLUSION
CESC environmental management system focuses on
continuous improvement and upgradation, with state-of-theart principles and equipment, setting high targets and
reviewing its performances. CESC recognizes its
responsibility towards protecting the ecology, health and
safety of the employees and consumers.

The vacational training has been organized by the CESC


limited and has been undertaken at the Titagarh Generating
Station. The purpose of the vacational training is to get an
industrial exposure in our engineering career.
Students can learn a lot from different books about various
subjects such as operations of a plant, various constituents
of a plant, power production, power distribution etc. but a
practical experience helps in better understanding and
enhancement of knowledge in various subjects. I am
grateful to CESC limited for organizing this vacational
training.
