Program update operating manual

RD-Upgrade is a software that running in the windows operating system. RD-Upgrade can write
the update firmware to the LFS controller. The following are the steps that to update the LFS
firmware.
STEP1 : The LFS usb driver should be installed properly. The RD-Upgrade was installed
properly.

STEP 2: connect the LFS (ePLC-400)
User should shortcut two pins that is shown in picture1.

Then power on the LFS. Then the led named 485 and work will flash at the same time. That
means that the LFS is ready to be updated.
STEP 3: firmware update
Double click RD-Upgrade to open the softwareA password dialog is appeared. User should
enter the vendor password. The password is rd8888 in default.

If the USB was not connected or the USB driver was installed unsuccessfully, the error
information will appeared. Just shown as picture 2

If the USB connection is ok and the usb driver is ok, then enter the update interface.
Please select the update program named LFS_V1.XX.XX.BIN. the version and data will display
the programs version and the built time.

Then press the update button. The update process will begin and the blue process bar is running.
Then the updata process is finished.
Please make sure that the LFS is ready for update (the 485 and work led flash at the same
time)
STEP 4:
Power off the LFS. And pick off the shortcut device on the RTLink interface. Then power on
again.
STEP 5:
The 485 led is off and the work led is flashing every 1 second. So the update process is
successful.
