Statement of Purpose

The applicant studied electronics instrumentation and control engineering in college and became interested in entrepreneurship. While working at a startup, they realized technical knowledge and leadership alone are not enough and that managerial skills like marketing, finance, and planning are also required. Statement of Purpose

Right from the school days I have been fascinated by automation of


regular tasks and sensors which is why I opted for Electronics
Instrumentation and Control Engineering and as I became to realise
about the current scenario of India in the Electronics Sector my focus
began inclining towards Entrepreneurship.
As I had shouldered the responsibility of Head Boy and Football
Captain in school and then was elected as Class Representative and
Placement Co-ordinator of the College I was pretty confident that I
would be able to give wings to my career goal but in the final year
when I started working in a start-up I came to realise that only
technical knowledge and leadership are not sufficient to be a
successful Entrepreneur you need to have lot more knowledge like
Marketing Strategies, Finance Planning and after some research I
came to know that huge number of Start-ups fail to make a mark
because of lack of the managerial skills.
So, I want to pursue career in management to combine my technical
knowledge with managerial skills so as to develop a more holistic
view about Business World and inculcate the skill set required for a
good manager.
I believe that this prestigious Institute will provide me with the
environment and the distinguished faculty will help me enrich me
with their knowledge as well as with their own experiences which will
help me in achieving my goals and aspirations. Kindly accept my
application for pursuing the degree of Master of Business
Administration.
