1. Install Microsoft Access and Crystal Reports. Create a REPORT.TYPE record for Crystal reports with the location of the default template (qsrrpt.sdk). 2. The default template file should be present in the directory specified in the REPORT.TYPE location field. When opened in Crystal Reports, it should contain the notes shown. 3. Create a new report in Report Designer using the Crystal REPORT.TYPE. An access file will be created with the report name for use in the report fields and saved back to the application.

INSTALLING CRYSTAL REPORTS

1. Install Microsoft Access


2. Install Crystal reports. No special installation procedure is
needed to install Seagate Crystal reports
3. Create a REPORT.TYPE record as shown

When trying to create a crystal reports through globus, the system uses
a default template, which is qsrrpt.sdk. This file should be present in
the directory mentioned in the LOCATION field in REPORT.TYPE

This file should be as follows when opened through Crystal reports


Note: The Crystal Report Path (of T24 Desktop Options) and the Location
path of the REPORT.TYPE should not point to the same folder.

Now go to Report Designer and create a report


Note that the REPORT.TYPE should be CRYSTAL which you have created
before in REPORT.TYPE
After clicking Finish button, the template opens as follows
An accessfile will be created in a temporary location as shown with the
name the user gave in the Report name.
Then follow the usual procedure when trying to create Crystal
reports(including fields in the report from the MDB file)

After including all the fields, save the report, the prompt goes back to
the Awaiting application giving a message that the report was created
successfully
Now run the report from Awaiting application prompt by typing RPT
<Report Name> here RPT ACCLIST
