Practicum Booklet 1A

Procedure:
Draw a map of the learning environment within the classroom and list the functions
of each of the activity areas. If possible take photographs of the classroom including
displays on the wall.

Examples:
Area Function
Water area Washing art equipment/organizing art activities
Reading area I read for them the story they choose.
Mathematical area They play with math toys that develop their
mathematical skills.
Building area They build with colorful blocks, using their imagination to
build buildings, to improve their physical and mental
skills.
Creativity area They draw with the chalk on the blackboard on the wall
or they can sit and draw.
Science area Children plays with science toys such as animals and
trees to discover scientific things and they can make
their own yards or zoo.
Role play area The students can wear the animal costume they like and
starts playing roles together.
Computer area The teacher opens some videos for the students to
watch or she can show them pictures.
Marking area The students write the letter they have learned, and the
teacher passes by to mark them.
