**Note: Fill your correct answers of numerical question in above table.

1. A balanced 3-phase star connected load of 6 KW takes a leading current of 10 A with a

line voltage of 415 V, 50 Hz. Find the circuit constants of the load per phase.
2. A 3-phase motor operating off a 400V system is developing 20KW at an efficiency of
87% & a power factor of 0.82. Calculate (a) The line current, & (b) The phase current if
the winding are delta-connected.
3. A mild steel ring has a mean diameter of 20 cm & cross sectional area of 400 mm 2.
Calculate the (a) reluctance of the ring and (b) mmf to produce a flux of 50 Kilolines.
Assume the relative permeability of mild steel to be 1000.
4. Define the following terms:
a. Magnetic field density.
b. Magnetic field intensity.
c. Permeability.
d. Eddy current Loss.
e. Reluctance.
5. An iron magnetic circuit has a uniform cross-sectional area of 5 cm2 and a length of 25
cm. A coil of 120 turns is wound uniformly over the magnetic circuit. When the current
in the coil is 1.5 A, the total flux is 0.3 mWb and when the current is 5 A, the total flux is
0.6 mWb. For each value of current calculate H and r.
6. The required no-load ratio in a 1-phase, 50 Hz, core-type transformer is 6000/250 V.
Find the number of turns in each winding if the flux is to be about 0.06 Wb.
