How to get prepared for GATE 2017 ?
GATE is one of the tough entrance examinations of the country. The
qualified candidates get admission to MTech and other PG programs in
engineering & Science. Lakhs of candidates take part in the examination
every year, so the competition level is quite high. Hence the candidates
are advised to start their preparation for GATE from the very beginning.
How to get prepared for GATE 2017 ?
The first step to start with preparation is to know the syllabus of GATE.
Set a time table according to the syllabus you will have to cover. It is not
enough to set a time table for your study but more important is to follow
that time table.
1. How to start with preparation
GATE examination is one of the high level examinations in India, hence
the candidates required lot of hard work to get success in that. It is very
important that the candidates have transparent understanding of the
concepts. If they focus on mugging up the things and scoring high then it
going to be a tough time for them in the examination. Understanding the
concepts is even more important than mugging up the facts. Hence
concentrate more on clearing the concepts rather than mugging up the
topics.
2. How much time can you give?
If you are a student it will not be difficult for you to manage time for
GATE preparation because you are already in flow of study. If you have
done with your studied and interested in GATE then you can plan your
study accordingly. But if you are working then you might feel it little tough
to get time for study. If you can manage 2-3 hours every day consistently
then you can prepare well for GATE 2017. All the interested candidates
in GATE should their study from now onwards seriously.

The detailed syllabus and previous years question papers gives you an
idea about the examination pattern & topics to cover. Arrangement of
good study material for the preparation of GATE is another important
step to be taken out. Collection of study material will depend on the
subject you choose for GATE 2017. There are 22 papers for GATE and
you have to choose any one out of these 22. The candidates have to
mention their choice during application procedure. The list of GATE

The candidates have to choose the subject which they have studied in
graduation or pursuing. The general aptitude section is common and
mandatory for all the students. The duration of the examination will be 3
hours. There will be total 65 questions of MCQ type in the question
paper and the total marks will be 100.
5. Preparation for general aptitude
This section includes verbal ability and numerical ability. This section is
common for all the candidates. In this section English Grammar plays a
vital role. If you have a good command over English Grammar then it will
be little easy to attempt.
6. Time require for the preparation
First of all think how much time you needed for preparation and how
much time is left. Now make a study plan accordingly and try to stick into
that plan. Once you have decided to apply for GATE 2017, you should
start planning your preparation right there. Accurate time table is very
important to navigate your study into right direction.
7. How much making notes are helpful?
This is a kind of traditional formula to get prepared for any examination.
When you make your own notes, it put great impression to your mind.
This technique helps the students to remember the topics much easier.
The candidates are advised to rely on their own notes rather than their
friends notes. Hence, make habit of making your own notes. Learn and
write the topics.
