Task 1: Diagnostic Assessment Interview

1.What diagnostic assessment has taken place this semester?

The diagnostic tests that have taken place this semester are the baseline assessments.

2.When did this occur?

These assessments took place at the beginning of the semester.

3.What types of assessments were conducted? (written, oral, practical, etc.)

These tests were written assessments made by our hof.

4.Who conducted the assessments? (Classroom teacher, Arabic teacher, classroom assistant,
etc.)

The classroom teacher

5.Were the assessments completed by students individually?

The tests were given to the students by their subject teacher which they had to answer
individually

6.What information did you hope to get from the assessments?

From these tests I wanted to get an idea of students strengths and weaknesses so that I can
group students accordingly.

7.What decisions did you make based on the assessments?

Students are grouped according to similar academic levels.

8.How did you group your students? (same/different academic levels, friendship groups,
similar interests, etc.)

The groups remain the same for subjects as their levels are very similar for both subjects.
