Fade in

INT. Auditorium Foyer/Int. Auditorium - Night

We see the closed doors of a high school theater and a poster

for a show. We then see the title: C E C E
We hear the actors in the play "Hedda Gabler" finish the end of
the second act from behind the doors. These shouts overlap each
other and are at first hard to understand, but then get very
clear.

MALE VOICE 1
(V.O)
Hedda--how could you throw yourself away!...Why did you not
shoot me down?
FEMALE VOICE 1
(V.O)
Because I have such a dread of scandal.
MALE VOICE 1
(V.O)
Yes, Hedda, you are a coward at heart.
FEMALE VOICE 1
(V.O)
A terrible coward...I want for once in my life to have
power to mold a human destiny...Very well. We are
coming.
FEMALE VOICE 2
(V.O)
No, NO! I would rather go home alone! At once!
FEMALE VOICE 1
(V.O)
Nonsense! First you shall have a cup of tea, you little
stupid. And then--at ten o'clock--Eilert Lovborg will be
here--with vine-leaves in his hair.

SILENCE followed by APPLAUSE. A WOMAN, opens the door, the

parent of a child in the play "Hedda Gabler". Today is opening

night, and she signed up to be an usher for the first weekend of

performances.
As people start to flood into the foyer...

WOMAN
Fifteen minute intermission. Bathrooms are around the
corner.

The camera jolts rapidly from the stationary position in front

of the open doors to directly in front of the Woman's face.

WOMAN
Excuse me? You're going the wrong way, what are you doing…

The camera in P.O.V cuts past the Woman, and OTHER AUDIENCE
MEMBERS, and runs up the theater and up on to the dark stage.
Camera pans down to CECE's phone to check the time, then screen
goes dark. BLACK, SILENCE. We hear heavy breathing, then
spotlight goes up on stage to show Cece. She has a pistol in her
hand, a prop from the play. She is wearing a dress, but it does
not fit her at all. Mascara is seen running down her cheeks, her
hair is a mess and she looks insane.

As Cece speaks, BROOKE PARKS, can be seen stepping into frame,

trying to get CeCe's attention. This is not supposed to be
happening. Cece is not even in the play, and now she is saying
Brooke’s lines. Cece continues to breathe heavily.

CECE
(As herself, hysterically)They love me...this is what was
supposed to happen.(British accent/crazy person) Yes, don't
you flatter yourself we will, Judge Brack? Now that you are
the one cock in the basket---

Cut to extreme close up montage of Cece cocking the gun, then of

her eyes. Then shot of Cece from above her.

Brooke Parks can be heard screaming, and we hear Cece fire the
gun as the scene fades to white, then black.

A creepy song fades in and out and we see: 15 HOURS EARLIER.

Int. Cece's Bedroom

Her room is girly, pink, and perfect. She is sleeping on her
back with an eye mask. She breathes slowly and takes her mask
off, revealing a beautiful, smiley girl, much different from the
girl we saw before. She checks her phone (with many
notifications from her many friends)and then plays her “getting
ready” playlist. She skips through a couple of songs before
choosing one. Cece plays I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry and the
"Getting Ready/Riding the Bus to School Montage" starts.

INT. Bathroom
Cece brushes teeth, sings in the shower to the song playing, and
puts on makeup.

INT. Bedroom
Picks out her outfit, smells a dirty shirt to see if she can
wear it. Dances on her bed. Watches a youtube video of an online
celebrity SONYA SILVERMAN.

SONYA
So I walked into the concert, and this bouncer was like
"you're going the wrong way"! Sooo funny guys... You are
special to me! Like and subscribe!

INT. Kitchen
Cece cooks herself a picture perfect breakfast, takes a picture
of it for her instagram. Takes one bite then throws it out.

INT./EXT. Cece's Neighborhood

Walking out of her house and down the street, getting on the
bus. Riding the bus with headphones plugged in to her iPhone 8.

INT./EXT. Cece's Bus

(V.O)
(Confidently)Today is opening night. Hedda Gabler by ​Henrik
Ibsen. (Laughs)Ah there's nothing quite like the theatre. I
only have two more years of high school, but god, am I over
these people. One time my rich Auntie Tulip sent me away
for a luxurious summer camp at this place where Ivanka
Trump “found her soul” or whatever, so ever since that, I’m
just like sooo above it all. This one time on day 3 of
the...

Something disturbed Cece, so she yanks an earbud out. A bodiless

voice is heard.
KID ON BUS
Hey can you shut up.

Cece is confused, she turns around but sees nothing. She turns
back in her seat.

CECE
(V.O)
Weird.

She puts the headphone back in, and chuckles. Cut to the bus
pulling up to school. Cece gets off and walks into school. While
walking into school KID ON BUS bumps into her really hard.

EXT. Outside of school

KID ON BUS
What are you doing??

Cece’s face is confused but she then is suddenly happy.

CECE
(Confused, Cece repeats what Sonya Silverman said
in her Youtube video. Millions love sonya, so this comment
should work for her...right?)

Cece begins to walk into school.

INT. School hallways

CECE
(V.O)
See...I’m so over it. Anyways, after the bus gets
here, I usually take my lunch to Mr. McCarthy’s
room...that’s where I warm it up for lunch, usually
nasty leftovers from my dads horrid cooking. Like, I
get it dad, your’e sad Mom left you for another woman
but that does NOT give you the excuse to give me
Meatloaf and pickled pigs feet casserole with
mayonnaise on the side for dipping. Whatever, I feel
sorry for him, so I eat it anyway.

Cece notices Brooke Parks and calls her over. Cece once again
uses Sonya SIlvermans’ youtube video as a tool to talk to
people.

CECE
Brooke, you wouldn't believe what happened to me last
night, ​sooo I walked into this concert, and the bouncer was like
"you're going the wrong way"!

BROOKE
Cece what are you talking about?

CECE Brooke
Sooo funny right? Anyway, you Umm yea? Okay I guess I’ll
are special to me! see you tonight. Yea
you’re
​funny. Kay, bye.

Suddenly a huge stop sign comes bolting to Cece in the hallway.

Then she is suddenly in the middle of the street. The giant man
dressed as a stop sign hits her head hard and the screen goes
black.

Int. Cece’s Bedroom

When the next scene starts, the entire Waking up/Getting ready
montage scene that happened before plays exactly as it did, but
this time everything is her life is different.

, she gets ready in a different bathroom, she has no

notifications when she wakes up except for from Team Snapchat.
What she decides to wear is in no way “cute”, etc.

Her room is not pink and pretty,​ she breathes heavily and wakes
up sleeping spread out like a starfish. She is wearing ugly
christmas pajamas or a onesie. After checking her phone, she
sighs heavily and stares blankly into the camera. "Getting
Ready/Riding the Bus to School Montage #2" starts.

INT. Bathroom
Cece brushes teeth, stands blankly in the shower, and stares at
herself in the mirror.

INT. Bedroom
Lays on the floor staring at the ceiling, wears her pajamas to
school. Watches the same Sonya Silverman video she did before.
SONYA
So I walked into the concert, and this bouncer was like
"you're going the wrong way"! Sooo funny guys... You are
special to me! Like and subscribe!

INT. Kitchen
Cece bites into a raw onion for her breakfast.

INT./EXT. Cece's Neighborhood

Walking out of her house and down the street, getting on the
bus. Riding the bus with headphones plugged in to her Samsung
Galaxy phone.

INT./EXT. Cece's Bus

Cece gives the same speech she did earlier, but this time she is
not talking to herself in her head, she is talking out loud.

CECE
(Confidently)Today is opening night. Hedda Gabler by ​Henrik
Ibsen. (Laughs)Ah there's nothing quite like the theatre. I

Cece is confused, she turns around but pretends to see nothing.

She turns back in her seat.

CECE
Weird.

She puts the headphone back in, and chuckles.

EXT. Outside of school

Cut to the bus pulling up to school. Cece gets off and then
stops in the middle of the sidewalk on the way into school. KID
ON BUS then bumps into her on accident..

KID ON BUS
What are you doing?? (To other friend off screen) I thought
we were supposed to wear our costumes to school on friday
not today?.

(CONTINUED)

Cece’s face is confused but she then is suddenly happy. A tear

can be seen rolling down her cheek.

INT. School hallways

Now it is lunchtime. STUDENTS are shown eating lunch and
laughing hysterically, the camera then pans to Cece sitting
alone, and having a conversation with someone while eating a
sandwich.

CECE
Brooke, you wouldn't believe what happened to me last
night, ​sooo I walked into this concert, and the bouncer was
like "you're going the wrong way"!

The camera then turns to show that she is talking to herself.

When the camera moves back to Cece she is staring at the sky
blankly. Cut the Brooke Parks walking down the hall. At first
she passes Cece who is making a double chin with her face. She
sighs heavily then backs up to her.

BROOKE
Hi!...um Cece? So Mr. Green wanted me to find out if you
are still coming to hand out programs for the show tonight?
I know you…(cough) kinda lost it when you didn’t get a
callback, but you can see the show, and get some service
hours? Wait, who am I kidding, you're not in Student
council, but still! And I've really been working hard with
my character. I think you’d like it.

CECE
What are you talking about? Why would you ask me that? ​I’m
playing Hedda.

BROOKE
Haha very funny Cece!

Cece is silent

(CONTINUED)

Brooke
Umm yea? I guess I’ll see you tonight.Kay, bye.

Camera zooms into Cece’s face. First she is confused, then

realizes something, then look very angry.

Int. Ext. Cece’s Home, Car, and School

We then see Supercut of the following actions: 1. Front door

slamming 2. Car door slamming 3. Keys turning on car 4. Car
tires accelerating 5. School doors opening and 6. Cece’s feet
running.

INT. Auditorium Foyer/Int. Auditorium - Night

We are shown parts of the same scene from the beginning, this
time from a different camera angle, and not from the P.O.V of
Cece. We can see Cece standing directly in front of the doors.

We see the closed doors of the theater and hear the audience
applaud. People start to flood into the foyer.

WOMAN
Fifteen minute intermission. Bathrooms are around the
corner.

The camera shows Cece handing the Woman a heap of programs.

WOMAN
Excuse me? What are you doing…

The camera moves in front of Cece and follows her onto the stage
just as before. Black.

Then the same scene that played in the beginning is played

again: The spotlight goes on and Cece is in a dress, and she
looks crazy. She has a pistol in her hand.

when Cece shoots the gun, we cut to Cece in her bed, with her
hand against her head like a gun. She is crying.
