This course involves studies of various forms of writing, in which students will be introduced
to canonical, modern and young adult literature. Students will be expected to participate in
discussions, collaborate with peers, complete reading questions, quizzes, essays, group projects,
presentations, a speech, a midterm and a final exam. Throughout the year, students will read and

· Analyze and form an argument.
· Integrate multiple sources to create a project evaluating culture.

School History: struggled finding this information on all platforms

Alamosa High School has an outstanding history in both academics and athletics. The school offers
dual enrollment and concurrent enrollment courses in partnership with Trinidad State College and
Adams State University, as a method for students to earn college credit. Since Alamosa is a rural
area, agricultural education is vast and was recently honored with a brand new greenhouse building.
The school also built a new stadium/track and field a few years ago, as the Mean Moose “have a
proud tradition as one of the most competitive and accomplished athletic programs in the state.”
