Control System EEE-325 Labno6 Introduction To Lsim and Time Response 1 and 2 Order System

This document summarizes an engineering lab report on analyzing the time response of first and second order systems using MATLAB's lsim command. The lab tasks involved solving transfer functions, implementing step responses for different time constants and input functions like sin and exp. Effects of changing damping ratio zeta on oscillation and overshoot were observed. Post lab tasks analyzed step and impulse responses of a circuit by deriving and simulating its transfer function.

Task1:

T=2:

T=3:

Comment:
In this task we solve the transfer function and check their step response using step function and lsim
command.when the time constant is less the system stable more fastly.
Task2:
b)

Comment:
In this task we implement the sin and exp of transfer function using lsim command.
Task3:

Comment:
In this task we sove the general form of second order system and changing the value of zeta and check
the step response.we observe that when we increase the value of zeta the oscillation decrease.
Task4:
Task5:

Comment:In this task we analyze the relation between the damping ratio and overshoot as the damping
ratio increase the overshoot also increase.
Postlab:
Task1:

Task2:
Comment:
In this task we solve the circuit then find the transfer function and check the step and impulse response
of system.
