• Figure x.y: where x indicates the chapter number and y indicates the figure number in that
chapter

• The general format is the following :
• For Book:
o Name of the Author, “Title of the Book”, Publisher, Place publication, Edition, year
of publication.
o Make the title of the book italic o If the author is more than two: use et al as; Abebe,
Bekele and et al.
• For Journal :

o Name of the Author, “Title of Journal”, Magazine Name, Volume Number, Magazine
Number, page, publication date. o Make the magazine name italic o If the author is
more than two: use et al as; Abebe, Bekele and et al.
o Example: D. Li and H.Liu, “Computationally Efficient Bandwidth Allocation and
Power control for OFDMA”, IEEE Transaction on Wireless Communication, Vol.2,

• The listed and stated literatures should be from standard journals ( IEEE, IET and others )
that indicate the current state of the art in the area:
 What has been done so far in the area
 What are their approach towards the problem
 What are the major draw backs in the stated work
Then at the end , your contribution to solve the above problems
