Zoom the scene in Planning Hold down the middle and the right mouse button and drag
View the mouse
Pan the scene Hold down the right mouse button and drag the mouse or
hold down the middle and the right mouse button and drag
the mouse
Rotate the scene Hold down the left and the right mouse button and drag the
mouse or
hold down Ctrl and the right mouse button and drag the
mouse
Manipulate Objects
To do this Do this
Move the object in the scene with the Hold down the left mouse button and drag the
mouse mouse
Move the object by 0.1 meters Press the left, right, up, or down arrow keys
Move the object by 1 meter Hold down Shift and press the left, right, up, or
down arrow keys
Move the object vertically up and down Hold down Alt and drag the mouse
with the mouse
Move the object vertically up and down Hold down Ctrl or Alt and press the up or down
by 0.1 meters arrow keys
Move the object vertically up and down Hold down Alt and press the up or down arrow
by 1 meter keys
Rotate the object by 1° Hold down Ctrl and press the left or right arrow
keys
(hold down Shift in addition to rotate in greater
steps)
Rotate the object by 15° Hold down Shift and Ctrl and press the left or
right arrow keys
Move the Camera
To do this Do this
Move the camera backwards and Hold down the middle and the right mouse
forwards in normal 3D view button and drag the mouse

Move the camera up by 10 cm Press Shift+Z on the keyboard
Move the camera down by 10 cm Press Z on the keyboard
Move the camera left by 10 cm Press Q on the keyboard
Move the camera right by 10 cm Press E on the keyboard
Tilt the camera upwards by 1° Press Ctrl+W on the keyboard
Tilt the camera downwards by 1° Press Ctrl+S on the keyboard
Rotate the viewing direction by 1° to the Press A on the keyboard
left
Rotate the viewing direction by 1° to the Press D on the keyboard
right
While Modeling

Activate full screen mode Press spacebar
Deactivate full screen mode Press spacebar or Esc
Select object Click the object with the left mouse
button
Select multiple objects Shift/Ctrl+click the objects with the
left mouse button
Drag a marquee over the objects.
Hold down Shift/Ctrl to add selection
to existing selection.
Select all objects in the scene window Press Ctrl+A
Add straight segments to a polycurve Click the left mouse button
Add curved segments to a polycurve Ctrl+click the left mouse button
Prevent that Plant Simulation uses the end angle of Hold down the Alt key
the polycurve as start angle when you create a new
polycurve
Terminate curve mode Esc
Step into the object Press +key
Show or hide barred areas Press o key
Select children of a Frame without selecting the Hold down Alt/AltGr

Frame
Duplicate 3D objects and graphics in 3D windows Drag the object/graphic and drop it
at another location in the 3D window
Insert the path to a 3D object or 3D graphic into the Drag the 3D object/3D graphic into
