Town of Taner
Taner is a town of 130-135 households. Its located between the major cities of Planeidas and
Fernhuron. As it is the only place that offers rest for travelers coming from both sides its economy
is very good and it is posible that there is nothing you can’t find here. It has Pleneidas on the west
and Fernhuron on the east side. North is a sea of green and south is a sea of icy blue. The forrest is
mainly evergreens as the reagon is quite cold.
There is abundance of wild life; rabbits, foxes, wolves, bears, dears, many mid sized feline kinds all
share the rich forest. There is a river that splits the forest, the mountain and the town. It produces a
small amount of fish that the locals leave for the bears for the most part since the sea fish are bigger
and tastier. However there is an arm of the river that runs along to the plains leading to Planeidas
where the House Vernon cultivates a very fine caviar.
There are a few farmlands up on the hills reaching to the mountain city of Fernhuron. The elevation
of the hills forces the town’s farmers to plant a limited number of crops in fact the main crop is tea.
Thanks to the salty cold breeze from the south the tea has a very particular taste that the cities solely
yearn for. There are 2 big farming houses each specialize in their own form of tea. House Dener
yields only black tea while House Tytorn yields green tea.
The properties of the teas are as follows. Black tea is good for blood and heart. It is known that by
grinding them into a paste a salve of healing properties can be made. Green tea is a very delicate
poisonous plant. If drank properly its been known to induce a state used by many scholars of arcane
to communucate between realms and even the beyond.
And House McSant yields high tea its not actually tea but they have a supply previously arranged
for the ones who heard the rumors about it so they can keep their secret. High tea is very rare and
the most expensive of them all. High tea is an exotic kind of tea that slowly grows in stony
mountaintops. The roots of the high tea reaches through the stones and taps into the many different
ores not only from this realm but the many others. Some forms of the tea give up the ores they
collect with a fruit others restore them within its very fibers. Collecting the ores always kills the
plant which makes this endevour both hard and worhtwhile. Ores are never common and the liquid
form of the ores are known to be very poisonous. House McSant guards the secret location of the
plants with an iron will. In fact many think House McSant only as a military-mining house. The
only place it goes is to the east city of Pleneidas where it is refined or sold to fund the many aspects
of the military expenses of the family as well as the expeditinary gatherers of the High tea.
On the hills reaching up to the underground city of Planeidas many farmers turn to husbandry to
make their living. A range of small and big farm animals are sharing the big and prosperous plains
in harmony thanks to the arrangements made by the mayors of many generations for the grassing
times of the animals of different farming houses. The ham from the Fellgur House, The lambs of the
Utyrs House, Horses of the House Glenn and the cows of Mont House is famous respectively by
their many different aspects.
Among them the only animal farm that does not sell their animals for food is House Glenn. Their
horses are known as the Glennite and the one thing they all have in common is the color of their fur
which is a luminous white. However the mane of the horses changes when they are sold to their first
rider. It has been noticed that the animals can recognize the character of their rider and a signifying
color takes over their mane while the body stays pure white.
