Manifold and Related Parts
The exhaust manifold is a three-piece design utilizing a bellows pipe connecting the front and rear
exhaust manifold to the center exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold is made of cast-iron and has a
bellows pipe clamped to each exhaust pipe section. The exhaust manifold is attached to the cylinder
head with twelve special alloy hardened bolts. The exhaust manifold outlet flange is bolted directly to
the turbocharger turbine housing with four studs and nuts. Two gaskets are placed between the exhaust
manifold and the cylinder head to prevent exhaust gas leaks.
