(a) Describe contrast stretching, and thresholding operations. Discuss their

Discuss the characteristic properties of mean, median and alpha-trimmed
mean filters. What are their applications? Apply 3× 3 and 5× 5 mean and
median filters to the sub-image of Fig.1 at the pixel having the value 145.
