Installation Manual of firmware

Remove USB cable from a computer because there is a necessary to use leased
cable for installation of firmware.
When remove it from the modular, hold the stopper of the modular jack by a
micro screw driver while remove it.

1. Installation of firmware

1. Instrumental technique used and methods of connection


1) PC(Data of RS232C For transmission and reception):
2) AC adapter for LS2208(5.2V) : P/N 50-14000-010
(Eternal side− Internal side+ of connector)
3) Cable for download of LS2208 : P/N 25-33671-20

4) Carry out wiring as the above.


(When remove or connect to the computer, make sure that there is no
damage of connector and jack.)

5) When attach the modular to LS2208, insert the modular slowly, and be
careful about modular jack is not broken off.

6) Insert the plug of AC adapter to AC100V socket after the completion of the
connection.

2.Install to the scanner

1) Boot the computer.


2) Double click on the icon of ”flashldr0.36”.(This is a common program.)

3) The screen will be shown as the below.

Select “NBRTEAAL.bhf” after click the file mark of “Product Code File”

4) Select “NBRTEAAL.bhf” on the screen.

* Please move to the directory that “NBRTEAAL.bhf” is saved, and select the file.

5) Select the name of “NBRTEAAL.bhf”.

6) Start to install when click Load Key.


(If “Disconnect then reconnect the download cable or cycle the power the
scanner and press OK” is shown on the screen, insert and remove
50-14000-010 from the computer, and click [OK] button. )

It will be completed to install when “...Successful” is shown on the screen.

Caution1:If error is shown when the installation, please do the power cycle of
LS2208.

Windows 2000 , Windows XP

2. After upgrading the firmware, you need to perform the “Factory Setting Barco
des”.
1) Connect the barcode reader to the console.
2) Read barcodes described on next pages step by step.
