Overview
- A 3 span continuous 47m long bridge having span configuration of 15m + 17m + 15m , consisting of
reinforced concrete slab superstructure.

1 Open New File
2 Select the Unit System [ kN, m]
3 Save as ‘3-Span RC Slab’

1 Go to “Properties”
2 Click on “Material Properties”
3 Click on “Add” to define materials
4 Define Material data:

Type of design> Concrete
Concrete Standard > EN04(RC)
DB: C35/45

1 Go to “Structure”
2 Click on “RC Slab Bridge”
3 Select Material “C35/45”
4 Enter Span lengths as “15,17,15” m
5 Enter dimensions as shown below:

6 Select “Supports” option under

1 Click on “Loads” tab
2 Check “Self Weight” option
3 Check ”Pavement & Barrier “Load

options and input following data:

Thickness = 0.1 m
Weight Density = 2 kN/m^3
Self Weight = 9 kN/m
Additional load = 0 kN/m
4 Check ”Temperature“Load option
and input DeltaT as 10 °C [T]

Click “OK” to generate the model

1 Go to “Analysis” tab
2 Click “Perform Analysis”

2 Goto “Forces” “Plate
Forces/Moments” 2
3 Select the option “Avg. Nodal”
4 Select “Mxx” option (for moments
along X i.e. longitudinal axis)
5 Switch off the “Contour” display
option

6 Check the “Cutting Diagram”
