As the country’s first “eco-airport,” the BPIA primarily utilizes natural ventilation. It also harnesses
solar energy from panels installed on the roof of the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB), which
will cover around 30% of the airport’s electrical requirements including the hot water supply
system.
