METHOD STATEMENT

SOFT LANDSCAPING WORKS

Scope of Work : This method statement describes the procedures for Soft landscaping
works which includes Planting media, & Planting.

Equipments & Materials:

 Sweet soil
 Compost
 Fertilizers
 Plants
 Hand trowel
 Wheel barrow
 Tree stakes
 Tree ties
 Bobcat
 Shovel
 Crane

Personal Protective Equipment:

The basic P.P.E will be provided as

 Safety Shoes
 Safety Helmets
 Hand Gloves
 Goggles

Procedure

1. Based on the approved shop drawings the filling of selected materials will
commence on top of waterproofing and drainage layers by bobcat and
wheelbarrows.

2. Irrigation works will be commenced after the filling (refer to the irrigation
method of statement)

3. Sweet soil will be filled to the areas on top of the formation levels

4. All the filled sweet soil will be protected from the contaminants.

5. Approved compost and fertilizers will be added to the sweet soil to have unique
planting media.

6. The ameliorants mixed areas will be fine graded and irrigation drip laterals will
be laid to the planting areas.

7. Irrigation works will commission and wetting of the planted areas will be done
to commence planting.

8. Ornamental trees will be planted as per details; stakes and ties will be provided
as a wind protection to minimize the root disturbances.

9. Shrubs and ground covers will be set out for final approval and planting will
commence after the receipt of approval..

10. The planted areas will be cleaned and bark mulching done as approved. .

11. Sample for each materials will be submitted and same shall be used to

Safety

 A safety induction talk will be conducted prior to commencement of works.


 Akar supervisor will be having regular visits to ensure the safe working
environment.
