10.4 Site Testing (Final Destination)

requirements, the corresponding notification and claims are made for the replacement on site of the meters detected
with non-compliance, without causing any cost to CFE.

10.5 Field Meter Verification

The determination of the average percentage of registration involves both the characteristics of the meter and the
load and the environment under which the test is performed.

The registration of the meters in the field is subject to a series of adverse environmental conditions that cannot be
controlled and therefore cannot be considered the same tolerances that are established for laboratory tests.

Among others, the sources of uncertainty that affect the recording are the following: Vibration, sine wave distortion
factor (harmonics), ambient temperature, differences in the amplitude of the applied voltage with respect to the
nominal voltage, variation of the frequency, inclination of the meter under test with respect to the vertical, influence of
external magnetic fields, radio frequency interference and relative humidity.

10.5.1 Objective

Check the accuracy with which a meter is operating in the field.

10.5.2 Appliances and equipment

Standard meter, with current calibration certificate.

10.5.3 Sample Preparation

Make an eye check of both the electrical installation in general, and the particular of the meter to be verified.

10.5.4 Process

The method to be used for the verification of the meter is the comparison against the registration of a standard meter.

meters. The lot must contain meters whose meter numbers are continuous and belonging to the same series, or when
more than two series, in this case the numbering of the meters must correspond to immediate series. In general, the
supplier must comply with the reference standard NRF-001-CFE. Each platform must carry the following data.

a) The word “meter” followed by the acronym kWh, kW, kvarh, as appropriate to the meter's
functionalities.
