Q1. Can all the angles of a quadrilateral be acute angles? Give reason for your answer.
Q2. In Fig X and Y are respectively the mid-points of the opposite sides AD and BC of a
parallelogram ABCD. Also, BX and DY intersect AC at P and Q, respectively. Show
that AP = PQ = QC

Q3.

Q4. Two parallel lines l and m are intersected by a transversal p .Show that the quadrilateral
formed by the bisectors of interior angles is a rectangle.
Q5. l, m and n are three parallel lines intersected by transversals p and q such that l, m and n
cut off equal intercepts AB and BC on p. Show that l, m and n cut off equal intercepts
DE and EF on q also.
Q6. Prove that Parallelograms on the same base and between the same parallels are equal in
area.
Q7. P and Q are any two points lying on the sides DC and AD respectively of a
parallelogram ABCD. Show that ar (APB) = ar (BQC).
Q8. Prove that the line drawn through the mid-point of one side of a triangle, parallel to
another side bisects the third side and is half of it.

Q9. XY is a line parallel to side BC of a triangle ABC. If BE || AC and CF || AB meet XY at

E and F respectively, show that ar (ABE) = ar (ACF)
Q10. The area of parallelogram ABCD is 180 cm2. Find
the area of ∆𝐴𝐷𝐸.
