Electrical Systems Testing

The document lists 12 types of equipment for a power plant and describes major testing requirements for each. Key equipment includes power cables, transformers, switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, and motors. Major tests include insulation resistance tests, voltage withstand tests, measurement of winding resistance and losses, functional testing, and load tests to check equipment is operating as intended under normal and simulated fault conditions. Testing aims to check equipment meets specifications and identify any issues prior to commissioning.
