It is with considerable interest that I apply for the vacancy of a translator. I believe that I can
make a positive contribution to your professional team due to the following reasons:

Intensive translating work experience at Tbilisi State Medical University gives me confidence to
state that I am a fast and accurate writer with a keen eye for a detail. My job obligations at the
university involved providing certified translations of legal documentations, agreements,
contracts, certificates. What made the work particularly challenging was high volume of work
that must have been accomplished in a restricted deadline, which I successfully handled. In
addition, I occasionally acted as an interpreter, performing simultaneous translation at various
meetings.

Several trainings related to academic writing that I attended throughout my career prepared
me to meet academic requirements and generally sharpened my writing skills which is also
evident in international language examination certificates. (IELTS 7.5-2017; IELTS (C1)-2015,
CAE (B 199), CELTA, TESOL)

Though I have considerably longer experience of working as an English language teacher, I


have never ceased the translating practice. Among the many translations that I have done is
English-English dictionary of Economics into Georgian, series of a magazine ‘’Droeba’’ from
Georgian into English; certified translations of different nature including medicine and IT
technologies.

I am well versed in computer science and technology that enables me to perform requirements
efficiently in limited time.
