COMMAND SYMBOL SHORCUT KEY FUNCTION
Paste CTRL+V Pastes the contents of the clipboard.
Cut CTRL+X Cut the selection and put it on the clipboard.
Copy CTRL+C Copy the selection and put it on the clipboard.
Format Copy formatting from one place and apply it to
painter another.
Font group

Font face Change the font face.
Font size Change the font size.
Bold CTRL+B Make the selected text bold.
Italic CTRL+I Italicize the selected text.
Underline CTRL+U Underline the selected text.
Increase Font CTRL+SHIFT+> Increase the font size.

Decrease font CTRL+SHIFT+< Decrease the font size.

Font color Change the text color.
Text Make text look like it was marked with a
Highlight highlighter pen.
Color
Text effects Apply a visual effect to the selected text, such as
a shadow, glow or reflection.
Strikethrough Draw a line through the selected text.
Subscript CTRL + = Create small letters below the text baseline.
Superscript CTRL + SHIFT + + Create small letters above the line of the text.
Clear Clear all the formatting from the selection,
formatting leaving only the plain text.
Change case Change all the selected text to UPPERCASE,
lowercase, or other common capitalization.
Paragraph group

Bullets Start a bulleted list.
Click the arrow to choose different bullet style.
Numbering Start a numbered list.
Click the arrow to choose different number

Multilevel Start a multilevel list.

Decrease Decreases the indent level of the paragraph.

Align text CTRL + L Align text to the left.

Center CTRL + E Center the text.

Justify CTRL + J Align the text to both left and right margins,
adding extra space between words as
necessary.
This creates a clean look along the left and right
side of the page.
Line and Change the spacing between the lines of the
paragraph text.

added before and after paragraphs.
Show/ Hide CTRL + * Show paragraph marks and other hidden
formatting symbols.
Sort Alphabetize the selected text or sort of
numerical data.
Border Customize the borders of the selected cells or
text.
Shading Color the background behind the selected text
or paragraph.

Shapes Insert ready-made shapes, such as
rectangles, and circles, arrows, lines,
flowchart symbol, and callouts.
SmartArt Insert a SmartArt graphic in to visually
communicate information.
Chart Insert a chart to illustrate and compare
data.
Bar, pie, line, area, and surface are some of
the available types.
Screenshot Insert a picture of any program that is not
minimized to the task bar.
Click screen clipping to insert a picture of
any part of the screen.
