Accion Reivindicatoria

An accion reivindicatoria or accion de reivindicacion is a lawsuit where the plaintiff claims ownership of a parcel of land and seeks to recover full possession of it. If successful, the judgment determines ownership and awards possession of the property to the lawful owner. It differs from an accion interdictal or accion publiciana, where the plaintiff only alleges a better right to possess without claiming legal title to the land.
