Experiments Tools:
1.Autocad 2018.
2.Desktop PC.
Experments Discription
1.AutoCad Page Setup:
For page setup we need to set units which is in the Formate tool.
First press Formate Press Units Then we need to set the setting by
Length: Architectural0-0
Angle:Decimal Degrees0.0
Insertion Scale: Unit to scale inserted content: Inches.
2.Gird & Snap :
We used Gird And Snap to specify the correct from of an object.Gird and
snap makes a drawing item exactly as it has to be seen.
Gird: In the lower right bar we can see a icon like this (#) from there we can turn on
the GRID mode. Moreover,we can also use the (f7) button to turn on the GRID mode
.Grid helps us to create object using points.(Layout 2)
Snap: At the side of the gridline button we see a button called SNAP from there we
can turn on the SNAP mode. Snap helps us to create an object by using gridline
points only without any interruption.(Layout 2)
3.SPLine :
A SPline is a smooth curve that passes through or near a set of points that
influence the shape of the curve. SPLINE creates curves called nonuniform
rational B-splines referred to as splines for simplicity.
In the upper left corner we find the DRAW option from there we could draw a spline.
Process:
DRAWSPLINEDraw a curve.
4.Polygon(Inscribed & Circumscribed):
Polygon(Inscribed) : An inscribed polygon is a polygon in which all vertices lie on a
circle. The polygon is inscribed in the circle and the circle is circumscribed about
the polygon.
By this way we can draw an inscribed polygon
1)DrawCircleCircle size=30Create circle.
2)Through keyPolyEnter sides=6Find circle middle pointSelect
inscribedEnter polygon size=30Draw polygon inside the circle.
Polygon(Circumscribed) : A circumscribed polygon is a polygon in which each
side is a tangent to a circle. The circle is inscribed in the polygon and
the polygon is circumscribed about the circle.
By this way we can draw an inscribed polygon
1)DrawCircleCircle size=30Create circle.
2)Through keyPolyEnter sides=6Find circle middle pointSelect
circuminscribedEnter polygon size=30Draw polygon outside the circle.
Important Note:
If we don’t find the middle point of the circle then we use object snap to find the middle
of the circle.
5. Essential tool:
Ray : Ray creates a linear object that starts at a point and continues to infinity.
DrawRayDraw several ray.
Through keyRay.
Line-Type: Linetype is a visual property assigned to geometric objects.Linetypes can be a
pattern of dashes, dots, text, and symbols, or unbroken and continuous.
PropertiesLine-typeLoadSelect desire line-type.
Through keyLT.
Line-Weight : Lineweight is a property assigned to graphical objects, hatches, leader lines,
and dimension geometry that results in thicker, darker lines.
PropertiesLine-weightSelect desire line-weight.
Through keyLW.
Disscussion:
1.From this experiment we know uses of grid and snap.
2.We learn how to make curve using spline.
3.We learn how to create polygon inside and outside of a circle.
4.We learn about the uses of tools like ray,line-type,line-weight,colors.
5.We learn about object snap, layouts, diferrent types of layer.
