SYLLABUS IN THE TEACHING PROFESSION WITH FIELD STUDY

COURSE TITLE : THE TEACHING PROFESSION WITH FIELD STUDY
COURSE UNIT : 3 units
COURSE OBJECTIVE : At the end of the course the Student should be able to put into practice the different concepts and insights learned in the
teaching Profession
COURSE DESCRIPTION : The course deals with the teacher as an individual, classroom teachers, community teacher and global teacher. This emphasizes
professionalism to cover teachers’ status and levels of professional rewards and professionalism to improve competencies.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES : At the end of the course, the student must be able to
1. Recognize the multifarious tasks of a professional teacher
2. Demonstrate high degree of competence and commitment to the teacher profession
3. Heighten the nobility of teaching not just a profession but also as a vocation and a mission
4. Compare and contrast the roles of a teacher in the classroom and in the community.
5. Devise ways and means to become a global teacher.
6. Assess and evaluate the Philippine Educational System, the professionalization of teaching and the laws that have the
bearings.
