Why would I want to invest time in this project?
Music has had a variety of different social effects all around the world, ranging from; promoting
propoganda, supporting certain movements over the years, promote different forms of media that affected
other forms of medium and entertainment i.e. movies, games and etc. other then music. Studying the
history of this industry would also allow us to develop even more sufficient, more advanced technlogy as
well as to find ways on how to make it available for the public world wide instead of restraining it nationally
to one country or one continent. Using the history of this would also allow us to avoid any mistakes in the
industry to make development of a certain technology that much faster.
How would it make it worth your while?
With this kind of research, we're able to see different trends, problems, solutions as well as what their
effects had on society and what either caused them to be or not to be in the world today. By looking and
investing time into researching the history of these trends, we're then provided with the tools to analyze
as well as explain the problems that we had in the past, as an industry, as well as putting us in a position
that allows us to see patterns, trends that might as well as be invisible to the present. Studying the past
allows us to either push our innovation on forwards as an industry or to prevent any mistake that would
prove to be costly in the long run.
The amount of money as well as time that would be used to complete the initial research, testing and
finetuning of that certain technology would be reduced to nearly half as we already have the initial,
neccessary knowledge in order to complete it faster and more efficiently.
The sources that I will accumulate during the course of this project.
I would aquire a range of different resources as well as a range of different research types ranging from
primary research to secondary research. For my primary research, I would interview someone who's well
versed in this kind of industry; Adam Cole, currently working as part of the radio industry as well as
professionally teaching music. With Mr. Cole's background in the radio industry as well as being
classically trained himself, has a more then sufficient enough of an understanding of what I'm trying to
invest my time into researching, of course, many people like Mr. Adam Cole would be included on in this
interview in order to make sure that the knowledge that they would share would correlate with eachother,
thus making it more reliable.
Secondary research would range from a variety of websites and online resources that I've deemed to be
trustworthy, including the BBC. Ranging from articles as well as YouTube videos that would be linked that
would show these modern technologies being used in the industry, from professional music producers
and bands that have a history of making their own music with this kind of technology and recording
equipment.
