Rubik’s Cube Guide

L=left R=right RU=right up RD=right down
LU=left up LD=left down C=clockwise A=anticlockwise
M=middle B=back
Step 1: Make a daisy on the top like this.

Step 2: Move the top until there is a correct edge.

When the edge is correct, do clockwise twice to


get it on the white side. Repeat this with all 4 edges until you get this.
Step 3: White corners
Make sure the white cross is on the bottom and that the corner colours match the centers.
Find your case: 1,2 or 3. If your corner is in the bottom but wrong, do one of the algorithms and then find the case.
Repeat this for all 4 corners

Case 1 Algorithm: RU L L RD R RU L RD
Case 2 Algorithm: L RU R RD
Case 3 Algorithm: RU L RD

Step 4: Middle Layer


Make sure that all the white corners are done correctly. Also make sure that the edge colours match with the side
colours. Find your case: 1 or 2. If you check the top layer and you find no cases, do one of the algorithms and then
try again. Do this for all 4 middle layer edges.
Case 1 Algorithm: L RU R RD R A L C
Case 2 Algorithm: R LU L LD L C R A
Your cube should look like this from all sides when done.

Step 5: Yellow Cross


Make sure the whole middle layer is done correctly.
Find your case:1,2 or 3 for the top

When you do these algorithms, make sure the yellow is on the top.
Case 1 and 2 Algorithm: C L RU R RD A
Case 3 Algorithm: C RU L RD R A
This only needs to be done once, as long as you have a yellow cross like
this.
Step 6:Yellow Corners
Make sure the yellow cross is done.
Find your case:1,2,3,4 or 5

Algorithm for all 5 cases: RU L RD L RU L L RD


After doing the algorithm, find a case and do it again until you get to this.

Step 7: Orient Corners


Make sure the yellow face is done.
Find your case: 1,2,3 or 4. If you can’t find any, do the algorithm once and then look again.
Algorithm: RD C RD B B RU A RD B B RU RU R
If you cube looks like this, move on to the final step.
Step 8: Orient Edges
Make sure the corners are oriented.
Put the solved side at the back and see if the edges need to go left or right.
If there is no solved side, go to Special Cases

Left Algorithm: C C L LD RD C C LU RU L C C
Right Algorithm: C C R LD RD C C LU RU R C C

Special Cases:
Find your case: 1 or 2 and do the algorithm.

Case 1: Do one of the previous algorithms, then do the left or right depending on your edges.
Case 2: M M R M M R M M R M M L

You have solved the cube!
