The Water Cycle & Metal Extraction

The document discusses the water cycle, showing how water circulates from land to sky and back again. It also tests writing an equation in Microsoft Word and building a table to display extraction percentages of some metals at different temperatures from oxide tailings and ferruginous ore.

The Water Cycle

The Water Cycle (also known as the hydrologic cycle) is the journey water takes as it circulates
from the land to the sky and back again. This cycle shows the movement of the water through the
ecosystem (see Fig. Q1).

I shall now test how I can use the equation editor in Microsoft Word to write the equation below:

K
  Mmax  M 
P = exp  
 Mmax  U 

Can I build a table to show how I have learnt well to be a computer wiz kid?

Table Q1 Percentage extraction of some metals

Extraction (%)
Element 700 °C 800 °C
Oxide Tailings Ferruginous Ore Oxide Tailings Ferruginous Ore
Mn 38.1 33.2 36.2 35.6
Fe3+ 12.1 11.4 11.9 11.6
K 31.0 24.8 25.9 25.2
